CALGARY — Fernie residents were abuzz this weekend over sightings of pop entertainer Justin Timberlake, rumoured to have celebrated his birthday in the snow-laden B.C. ski town, about 200 kilometres west of Lethbridge.

Timberlake enjoys luxury Island Lake Lodge Catskiing for his 31st.

“My dad was a Snowcat driver, and my mom was the first female “lifty” [lift operator] at the resort,” says Brydon.
“I put on my first pair of skis when I was two-and-a-half, and when I was a young girl, I picked rocks off the ski runs in the summer to earn my yearly Fernie lift pass.”

Fernie, BC Canada October 19th 2011 – Island Lake Catskiing has announced a few special tours for the 2011 – 2012 ski season. Family Christmas tours will take place between December 24th - 28th and will include an extra guide in the cat, turkey dinner and a festive, decked out lodge. Children under the age of 18 will receive 10% off the tour price.
