I just attended the RCR/RDEK presentation of the proposed amendments/updates to the FAR Official Community Plan.
Here is what I got from it:
1. RCR has stated it will build trails from the plaza to timberline as well as a trail out to the highway via the old ski out. They said they are going to build them next year, however documents on display at the event said that these were originally promised to be built in 2000-2001. Let's hope this happens this time around.
2. They want to move their approved development densities from the village core to areas outside it. For example, instead of building the originally planned pedestrian village with more hotels they want to see hotels built behind the griz inn.
3. They want to add a new single family subdivision above the maintenance shop as part of their first phase of development.
4. They do not want to be required to build employee housing as was originally agreed upon in the old OCP.
The presentation boards will be available here shortly - http://www.rdek.bc.ca/FAR_OCP_Update/FARwelcome.htm
A questionnaire is available on the link above if you wish to provide comment.

Hey man! I fully agree with your opinion. I’ve just shared it on the social networks.
